What you need to know about Built-In Electric Cooktops
Built-In Electric Cooktops are permanently installed in the countertop, and typically require a technician to uninstall and install a replacement.
Cooktops are available in multiple sizes that range from 11" to 36" but the most common size is 30" inches. Normally the existing unit needs to be replaced with a unit of the same dimensions, although there are some cases where you can change to a larger Cooktop after having a technician come evaluate the project before committing to the upgrade.
built-In Electric Cooktops come with different options like induction burners, fingerprint resistant surfaces, timers, smart / Wi-Fi compatible, etc, so it's important that you do a little research before purchasing your new Cooktop!
If you feel that you have a uniquely difficult situation or you want to change the size of the Cooktop during replacement, we can come do a pre-installation evaluation for $35.
- Purchase your new Built-In Electric Cooktop at most hardware stores or Amazon, and have it at the installation address when we arrive (optionally we can pick up from the store and deliver for an additional $35).
- We'll remove the old unit, install the new unit and make sure everything works and functions as it should.

NOTE: We will connect the new unit in the way the old unit was installed, changing sizes, or NEW installations require an in-person evaluation and custom quote.
